Surface Winders

Mark One Machinery has many surface winders to choose from, whether they are one position surface winders or two position surface winders.  These surface winders are used when materials when winding slippery or hard-to-handle materials.  With surface winders, the web tension is pulled by the drive of the surface roll.  Hardness comes about independently from web tension through profiled nip from the surface roll and profile torque from the center drive.

One Position Surface Winders

We offer the following one position surface winders:

  • 24" Davis Standard one position surface winders with infeed nip and hydraulic roll unloader.
  • 42" Kuhne one position surface winders.
  • 58" Kuhne one position surface winders.
  • 84" Filmaster single turret winders, dual turret winders, coreless winders, and simple auto-cut surface winders
  • 84" Filmaster one position surface winders.

Two Position Surface Winders

Mark One Machinery also has a wide selection of two position surface winders, including:

  • The Alpine 63" two position surface winder with secondary nip
  • The Alpine 67" two position surface winder with vertical stack which produces 36" diameter rolls
